Hello, I’m Lydia.

I’m Lydia Horsnall, an interior designer and the founder of BY LYDIA. I grew up in Derbyshire around manufacturing, and my work as a designer and stylist led me to create the furniture I wanted to use in my own projects.

BY LYDIA is a collection of distinctive, comfortable pieces made with care in England. Today the range includes sofas, upholstered benches and ottomans, chairs, headboards, beds and cushions. I’m drawn to strong shapes, playful details and fabrics that make a room feel personal.

Our furniture is made to order by skilled craftspeople. Many pieces can be made in bespoke dimensions and upholstered in customer’s own material, so you can choose a fabric that feels right for your space.
